Inception

It’s only a dream if you wake up from it

Plot: Inception is a 2010 American science fiction action film written, produced, and directed by Christopher Nolan and starring Leonardo DiCaprioKen WatanabeJoseph Gordon-LevittMarion CotillardEllen Page, and Cillian Murphy.  The film, essentially a caper movie, centers on Dom Cobb, a thief who enters the dreams of others to obtain/steel information that is otherwise inaccessible. His abilities have cost him his family and his nationality.

Cobb finds himself desperately seeking a way home until he is finally giving the opportunity by a wealthy and powerful man known as Saito (Ken Watanabe).  Instead of steeling information Saito wants Cobb to plant a destructive idea that will cause his victim to tear his business empire down.

Did It Suck? Not since The Matrix movies (1 and 2) has a film satisfied my craving for a good Sci-Fi action thriller like Inception.  Christopher Nolan apparently spent ten years writing his screenplay for Inception and in my opinion, it really shows. By the end of the movie my brain was still buzzing trying to process  everything that I had finished watching.  The trailers do no justice  for this movie;  they plant an idea in your mind to tease you but leave no suggestion as to what it’s really about.  Amazingly, with how deep and complex this film is,  it was still somewhat easy to follow.  I’m also happy to say I can’t think of anything bad to say about this film which now leads me to the final sentence.  I will definitely see this movie again and it is Most Definitely Worth A Ticket.

  • What you are saying may be valid, however, if you try and find every flaw in a movie then you will always want your money back. I watch a movie for what its trying to bring or say and I never over analyze a story. Did the movie do a good job in providing the entertainment it was set out to do? Every movie has over sites and flaws and what makes or breaks a film is weather or not the movie can come together and make up for those flaws. If your always looking for the flaws then you will always be disappointed.

    Who cares?!
This movie was purposefully over-convoluted and made a simple idea overly complicated.
    EXAMPLE:
When Cobb needs to drug Fischer’s, drink on the airplane they launch into this overly complicated cloak-and-dagger routine where Cobb & friends lift Fischer’s passport before boarding the plane. Then once on the plane Cobb gives the passport back to Fischer as drinks are being served, so that Cobb can use his little ring injector to spike Fischer’s drink with a knock-out potion. Then once Fischer is asleep the STEWARDESS gets the equipment out and helps them set up, so they can all jack in and and enter Fischer’s his dream!!!
    WTF?!
If the stewardess was in on it the whole time why didn’t she just spike Fischer’s drink to begin with?
Why all the cloak-an-dagger silly crap?
    ANSWER:
That would have been too simple, just like everything else in this movie Nolan went over the top to make simple ideas convoluted and complicated!
I was bored out of my head with this movie!
The main plot-line was not difficult to understand nor was it that deep!
Just Nolan’s hand at making a drawn out, long, and essentially boring movie made me want my money back!
    Inception Sucked! Save your money!
